The Occupational Therapy Track, part of UWA’s Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences Comprehensive program, prepares students for competitive admission to graduate occupational therapy programs through a comprehensive foundation in the health sciences. Students complete prerequisite coursework commonly required by occupational therapy programs while building knowledge in biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, psychology, and kinesiology. With flexible elective options, students can tailor their studies to meet the admission requirements of their preferred graduate programs, preparing them for the next step toward a career in occupational therapy.

While professional practice requires completion of an accredited graduate occupational therapy program and national certification and state licensure, UWA’s Occupational Therapy Track provides the academic preparation needed to pursue admission to these competitive programs. Graduates are well positioned to continue their education and prepare for rewarding careers in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, outpatient clinics, schools, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, and community-based healthcare settings.
