The Physical Therapy Track, part of UWA’s Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences Comprehensive program, prepares students for competitive admission to Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs through a comprehensive foundation in the health sciences. Students complete prerequisite coursework commonly required by physical therapy programs while building knowledge in biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, physics, and kinesiology. With flexible elective options, students can tailor their studies to meet the admission requirements of their preferred graduate programs, preparing them for the next step toward a career as a physical therapist.

Physical therapists help people improve movement, reduce pain, and regain independence following injury, illness, or surgery. While professional practice requires completion of an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program and state licensure, UWA’s Physical Therapy Track provides the academic preparation needed to pursue admission to these competitive graduate programs. Graduates are well positioned to continue their education and prepare for rewarding careers in hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation clinics, sports medicine facilities, rehabilitation centers, schools, home health agencies, and other healthcare settings where improving mobility and quality of life is the primary focus.
